PREPARÁNDONOS PARA ENSEÑAR…

Durante esta semana, teniendo en cuenta lo aprendido la semana anterior, los alumnos y alumnas de 2º de Primaria, estamos preparando los materiales necesarios para poner en conocimiento del resto del alumnado del colegio, la manera correcta de trabajar el compost y la compostadora. Para ello, estamos elaborando unos carteles con normas básicas como:

• Las peladuras de cítricos y plátanos, van a la basura, no al compost.
• La tapa de la compostadora debe quedar bien cerrada una vez echados los restos de fruta. (Es muy importante que los desperdicios caigan DENTRO de la compostadora y no fuera).
• Los restos de fruta que van a la compostadora, deben estar cortados en trozos, no debemos echar piezas de fruta enteras.
• No se puede echar agua dentro de la compostadora.
• El agua que se utiliza para limpiar el cubo de compost, sirve para regar la huerta.

¡Con estas recomendaciones, esperamos conseguir un buen abono para nuestra huerta!

During this week, taking into account what we have already learned the previous week, the students of 2^nd level of Primary, we are preparing the necessary materials to inform the rest of the students of the school, the correct way to work with the compost and composter. For this, we are preparing posters with basic rules such as:

• Citrus and banana peels, should be threw to the garbage, not to compost.
• The lid of the composter must be tightly closed once the fruit remains are thrown. (It is very important that the waste falls INSIDE the composter and not outside).
• The remains of fruit that go to the composter must be cut into pieces; we should not throw whole pieces of fruit.
• You can´t pour water into the composter.
• The water used to clean the compost bucket is used to water the garden.

With these recommendations, we hope to get a good fertilizer for our garden!
